Is it just me or is the latest Cubase 14 pro update running a bit poorly.
Since ive updated to 14.04.40 my libraries and projects take a aeon to open and load and i get real lagg when trying to work on a project. Also im regularly getting alerts to crashes that happened when last closing down Cubase everytime i open up Cubase.
Its just…well…a bit of a pain.
I see Cubase 15 has just been announced so i feel kind of like im now fading away into the shadows as a 14 user haha…i will of course upgrade to 15 but is this 14 update working ok with everyone else?
Cheers guys!
Oh! and congrats to Steinberg on its FIFTEENTH release thats BONKERS!! I look forward to checking it out real soon.
There are two main problems I’ve seen with 14.0.40, one with Atmos (a serious problem) and midi remote scripts (an annoying problem).
Neither of those things affect me directly and my experience with 14.0.40 was that it was a non-event. Cubase behaviour was just as before the update.
I wouldn’t know, since I only update stuff out of necessity.
Early adopters have suffered since time immemorial. Any update requires due diligence these days, and I’m happy to use my un-patched Cubase 14 on my un-patched Sequoia OS - because it worked and continues to do so just fine. My next updates will be in August next year, and will include Tahoe OS, Cubase 15, and Waves 17 - as that is the sensible route for someone who wishes to create, without drama.
