I have multiple instruments in Cubase mapped to Vienna ensemble Pro instances. I save the project regularly, but upon reopening, the mapping is wrong and is mapped to different instances of VEP7. I believe this issue is new with Cubase 14 Pro. I do not remember having this issue in previous versions.
Typically it will map to a Different instance of VEP7, either on the local computer or on a remote computer with VEP7 installed.
Anyone have a solution for this? Very frustrating obviously.
Hi,
Do you have any disabled tracks involved?
Is it wrong just visually or really the routing (sound)?
Hello Martin. Thank you very much for replying. Greatly appreciated. I had to look up Dialed Tracks but based on the definition I saw, I’ll say I am using a Behringer Universal Control Surface, but I was using it in Cubase for quite a while and never had this issue before Cubase 14 pro.
It is connecting to the wrong sound. Strangely, in at least some but not all instances the Instrument track itself is still connected properly, it’s the midi track that seems to be randomly re-assigned to another VST. I really don’t get it and it’s a real pain to fix every time it happens.
Hi,
Sorry, I had a typo in my original post. I mean disabled tracks. Did you disable the tracks and re-enable them? Or is there any Import from Project or Import from Archive or a preset… something like this involved?
There was a bug like this. After the fix, it might happen, the connection is wrong (visually), but under the hood, it is routed correctly. So the sound should be correct.
With newly created projects, this should not happen anymore.
