Hi There. I have been running multiple projects with cubase 14 and have had no audio problems at all. But recently when playing my current project I have experienced 5 volume drops which last about a second. This has also now happened in other projects. The audio performance monitor reports no audio dropouts at all. Iam baffled has to why this is recently happening especially since I have made no changes in cubase. Everything was fine about 5 days ago. When I export a project the volume dropouts are still there on playback. Hope someone can help. Many thanks in advance.
Hi,
What has changed since then? Any update? Maybe a silent OS update? Or did you install any plug-in (in Trial mode)? Or did any Trial license expire?
Hi Martin. Thanks for reply
No update that Iam aware of and all plug-ins functioning ok. Iam just going through my current project and isolating/soloing every track to see if it is a plug-in. but there is nothing that tells me its a rogue plug-in. It appears to happen randomly.
Hi,
Can you observe any high CPU/RAM/Disk usage in the Task Manager/Activity Monitor, when this happens?
Hi. Ran task manager but not really sure what Iam looking for. There is no spikes in CPU , Memory or disk. There is some programs using a bit of CPU. But nothing standing out. I wait for the random audio drop and see if there is a random spike somewhere in the task manager but cant see anything. going to disable some unused start up apps.
Hi Martin. I have just run a project through Cubase 13 which I also own. And there was no volume issues from start to finish. So it definitely something within 14 that is causing the problems. I dont think its hardware related though as it would have occurred in 13 as well
