Hello all,
My newly downloaded Cubase 14 app will not load my Garritan CFX concert grand piano plug-in. It uploads just fine in Cubase 13, but not in 14. I don’t know how to fix this. Does anyone have a solution to this? What must I do? Any help is greatly appreciated.
EDIT…it looks like it runs in Aria Player. If you log into your Garritan account and download latest version it’s VST3 and runs fine in C14 without enabling VST2.
Ok, I will try that and see if it works. I’ll let you know. I sent an email to Garritan technical support. We will see if they have a vst 3 plug-in version of the CFX piano app.
Thank you for contacting MakeMusic! We do not have VST3 components for the CFX Concert Grand Player. From my understanding, it looks like Cubase 14 still supports Audio Units though so you’re welcome to use those components instead as we do have AU components for the CFX Concert Grand bundled into the original installation file.
Hi…yeah. I took another look at their site. Unlike their product I own that runs in Aria Player which has a VST3 version, it looks like this is their special adaption of the Aria Player (they call it powered by) which they obviously haven’t updated to VST3
They are wrong that Cubase support AU plugins. So VST2 is your only hope.
Follow the instruction I linked earlier to use VST2 plugins in C14.
Thank you! It’s very sad that they do not want to update this amazing Grand Piano product. Guess I’ll have to use older versions of CUBASE when I want to use that plug-in.
You don’t have to use an older version (yet) C14 can still use VST2 plugins. Like I said before, follow the instructions I linked above. C15 will likely drop support completely though.
