Cubase 15.0.10 update - Pattern Editor

So i mentioned this on the announcement post.

“Patterns now automatically inherit chords from the Chord Input. This applies when creating new patterns and when creating new MIDI tracks for which the Event Type is set to Pattern Event, keeping harmonic context consistent from the start.”

It doesn’t work for me!
Can anyone else please confirm?

Maybe they forgot to include the code to fix this issue on this update!

Yes it works, it simply carries the chord over from the previous track/pattern.

I doesn’t auto-follow the Chord track or anything.

So below is the pattern I created, simple, also ensured under Chord Lane, Root Notes is selected. Everything else is the default settings.

I clicked on Chord Input then I dragged the MIDI event (chords, 8 bars since the Pattern Editor has 128 steps max)

The pattern is stretched out, repeated, but it’s all the same note, even though the root note is actually changing on the chords, as before! You can see the chords along the top info line, but the pattern doesn’t reflect that!

You telling me after you’ve created a pattern (one bar long as an example), you drag some chords 8 bars max (MIDI event) to it and ask it to focus on the root notes, it’s respecting the chords?

You just use them together with the different random, variance and voicing features.

Hmm… I thought, just like @SoundOf, that the patterns would populate and follow/respect the chord changes along the way…

I tag in the mighty @Dom_Sigalas .! He’ll know.. Please take a look into this quickly, can you?

Are both people in the thread right.? Or is there still some misunderstanding of how this is supposed to work.?

Many thanks.!
