Cubase 15.0.20 & 15.0.21 - MIDI record mode in Merge on multiple instrument tracks crashes Cubase

Hello, I like to switch back and forth between the MIDI record modes “Replace” and “Merge” under the “Linear & Cycled MIDI Recording” section when working in Cubase. However, I’ve noticed that when I select “merge” and try to record in MIDI cc data on multiple selected tracks, it crashes Cubase. I noticed that with version 15.0.20 and even with the latest 15.0.21.

Here are the steps:

  1. Create an empty project (or open existing project).
  2. Create and select two new instrument tracks (or highlight two instrument tracks from an existing project).
  3. Record enable or arm these instrument tracks.
  4. Select the “Merge” mode in the “Linear & Cycled MIDI Recording”
  5. Press “Record” on timeline and start moving faders that are assigned to cc11, cc1 (modwheel) or cc7.
  6. Cubase crashes.

Here are my specs;

Cubase Pro 15.0.21

PC - WIndows 11 Pro 25H2, i9-13950HX 64 GB RAM
