A number of problems with the new ‘Folder with Group’ feature:
- When creating a view configuration in the Arrange window, selecting a filter type of 'Group tracks’ only shows the new folder-Group channels and not the old-type Group channels. This needs fixing ASAP, as it is now impossible to isolate ‘old style’ Group channels with the filter. The mixer view configuration filter still works fine.
- Moving a folder-Group in the mixer moves the folder’s contained tracks into the Arrange window’s ‘Group’ folder. Now the ‘Group’ folder contains other channel types - not good. I would hope that I could always rely on every Group (and only Groups) being visible in the Arrange window’s ‘Group’ folder.
- I can no longer find all my Groups in the Arrange window’s ‘Group’ folder. The new folder-Groups are now locked to the folder’s position and so scattered amongst all the other channels.
I think I will be sticking with the old system of folders and groups as separate features…
