Cubase 15.0.21 hangs during offline rendering with Synchron Player

Hi everyone,

I’m having a problem with Cubase 15.0.21 + Synchron Player 1.3.3314.

I have five Synchron Player tracks loaded with Synchron Elite Strings (1st Violins, 2nd Violins, Violas, Celli and Basses).

Whenever I use anything that involves offline rendering, Cubase hangs immediately at 0%:

  • Offline Export
  • Render in Place
  • Freeze

Cubase becomes completely unresponsive and I have to force quit it.

However, real-time playback and real-time export both work perfectly, and CPU usage is normal when it gets stuck.

Both Cubase and Synchron Player are the latest versions.

Has anyone else experienced this with Synchron Player and Cubase 15? Any ideas or workarounds?

Thanks!

I don’t have necessarily a solution for you, but maybe first make sure the latest Cubase version is installed 15.0.30.

Cubase 15 Release Notes | Steinberg

Render In Place has become quite severely affected when Steinberg implemented the new video features (which is very much appreciated, btw). This is regardless of whether you even have a video track in your project or not. My problems are if there are more than 100 tracks, each render get slower and slower until it is absolutely crawling. Even when all plugins in the project are disabled (not just deactivated) I’ve already made a thread about this and it seems no one else has this problem, and none of the devs have replied.

Also, your problem could be due to an authorization glitch, like iLok. See if you have the latest iLok version update, and that you have activated your Syncron licenses?
