Cubase 15 adjusting faders with Mac trackpad is broken

In Cubase 14, scrolling left and right with a trackpad in the mixer section of the sequencer window was reversed from Cubase 13.

In Cubase 15, scrolling left and right has been reversed again (which is good!), but also, you can now scroll left and right no matter where you hover the cursor on the mixer section (which is terrible!).

This makes the adjusting faders on the mixer section kind of broken. If you unintentionally scroll left and right even very slightly, you will end up accidentally adjusting a bunch of different faders that you did not want to adjust because the mixer will scroll very quickly on the horizontal plane.

There does not appear to be any way to disable this behaviour in preferences, which is very frustrating. This has pretty much broken my mixer workflow, as scrolling with the trackpad is the most natural and accurate way to adjust faders for me.

Please at least add an option to disable this behaviour in the mixer section.

Thanks!

Hi,

In the Preferences > Editing, there is the Invert Direction for Horizontal Scrolling option, where you can set it up.

In the Preferences > Editing > Controls, there is the Mouse Wheel Mode (Changing Parameters via Mouse Wheel) option. If you set it to Disabled, then the mouse wheel will never change any value when hovering over it.

Hi,

I want hovering over and two finger scrolling on faders to work as it always has though, I just don’t want this new side scrolling behaviour that breaks the fader scrolling.
