Cubase 15 audio recording issues

Hi guys,
Been a user since cubase 10. I always have my older version when I upgrade to a new version in case of any emergencies since I’m usually on fairly tight deliveries. I’ve been on an M3 macbook pro and the issue I’m now facing is this-

  1. On cubase 15, external fx suddenly stopped responding properly. Same routing, same settings. Works fine in cubase 14. When I add an external fx as an insert, the audio cuts off. Periodically, I hear a garbled up sound for a brief moment and it goes again. The routing is proper within cubase. I hear the audio on my soundcard’s software mixer too (Audient id44) In fact, it responds proprly in cubase 14 too.
  2. When recording an external instrument (moog mother 32) I suddenly noticed that the frequency response had a sharp rolloff post 10k. no inserts on the ext instrument track, project sample rate was same as always (48Khz 24 bit) as was the interface setting. Again, works fine on cubase 14.
    I haven’t updated mac os to Tahoe coz I’ve been reading about issues. Cubase version is up to date. This problem didn’t exist until maybe a week ago.
    Please help.

Please help. Cubase 15 is practically unusable as inputs 1 and 2 aren’t properly working within the software. Works just fine in cubase 14 and on my id interface app. On Cubase 15 though, it’s just blips
