Ah. Thanks. I’m scared to change OS beyond Monterey as my Apogee Quartet interface will likely be toast.
Is that setting available separately for the project window vs the mix window or is a single global setting?
It’s not feature. It’s default behavior of GUI controls in every software.
Imagine they reverse Left and Right channel now just because someone from developers put headphones reversed on his head and next 10 years lot of users ask team to do reverse and voila - after 20 years they put a checkbox that allows you to flip channels. So you should feel happy after many years of waiting, but in deep you feel stupid, because this feature isn’t needed anymore - you get accustomed to existing behavior.
Horizontal scrollbar saga continues, @Matthias_Quellmann ! ![]()
I hear you, but in my view, it’s a feature. You now have the option to switch directions. I’ve rewired my brain to use Cubase in the “wrong” direction. Now I get to use it both ways. However, one could easily argue that the original implementation was annoying or even blasphemous since it went in the opposite direction of many other apps. Yep. It was a long time coming. But I get it, you’re frustrated that they took so long and you feel robbed. I also wish they had implemented it sooner, but I’m going to be happy that they finally did it and thank them for it. Cheers!
That’s weird, it works perfectly on my 12.7.6 EXCEPT!!! I read Stem don’t work on an Imac Intel machine…. i7 and the Stem Seprator tag doesn’t show up in the drop down menu. something i was looking forward to! but the rest is working fine.
I think you are absolutely correct. And I would rather pay for an optional upgrade than to be forced into a subscription model, which I absolutely would refuse to participate in. Even if it is only an incremental upgrade.
I agree about Windows. I haven’t “upgraded” to win11, and don’t plan to do so. It is too 1984. But they are getting more sophisticated about forcing the customer to do what Microsoft wants.
Haven’t purchased the upgrade, yet, but the new track controls (volume and pan in the track header, finally - I was hoping for these since years) are worth it alone, IMO : a new and valuable workflow improvement.
Did the upgrade, but Cubase 15 keeps freezing every time on my Mac. Cubase 14 was working fine before the upgrade to 15. I am a little disappointed….
I always look forward to a new version of CUBASE pro I have updated since version 9 every year but I would like to know if there are any plans in improving the new staff editor which so many of us arrangers depend upon I have the trial version for the next 58 days but I’m really looking for the staff editor with new features since I’m old school and like to see my work on the staff line where I can edit to my heart’s delight I await your response

I purchased Cubase Pro 15 as soon as possible and installed it enthusiastically, but it couldn’t start properly and displayed the error message as follows: “The application terminated due to an error while executing the following file: C: \ Program Files \ Steinberg \ Cubase 15 \ Components \ hubservice. dll”. After reinstalling Windows 11 25H2 several times and reinstalling Cubase Pro 15, it still cannot start and consistently displays the above error message. My computer is equipped with a Core i5 14500 and 32GB of memory, which is much higher than the minimum configuration requirements. I posted a request for help here and found that other people have encountered similar problems as well.
I reported a bug in v14 about copying and pasting EQ in the MixConsole in June ‘25. Was hoping this would be fixed in v14 since it worked fine before. Can anyone see if this is fixed in v15?
Exactly! The option is the feature, but correct direction is default behavior in all software. You can “rewire” your brain if you use only Cubase. But I use all Steinberg products and it is very difficult to “rewire” something if everywhere just this “feature” is correct and only Cubase behave differently. Whole navigation is like rapid jumping between trees like it’s rabbit, not mouse ![]()
However, there seems to be a bug in the new option: Invert Direction for Horizontal Scrolling does not affect the horizontal mouse wheel (thumb scrolling) in the Project window!
I just tested it with Logitech Master MX3 and the new option affects only MixConsole, but it does not have any effect on the Project window, when I am scrolling the timeline with my thumb.
Can anybody confirm, before I create a bug report?
Nothing great for me. Still so many broken functions. What I can say it is an expensive update. Reverting back to C14. See ya on C16. Maybe…
Sometimes when I scroll the mouswheel, I accidentally change some values on the GUI. It just later on I discovering those accidents changes. Can this behavior be turned off?
Super! Thank you!
Are you saying the invert direction option only affects the mix window? I haven’t tried it yet - but I actually hope this is the way it works. I have a Logitech Master MX3 as well, and I want to scroll the other way in the mix window, but leave the project window as it is because I like that way it works there.
