If i create a new project from the hub. And then close the project, i get immidiately kicked to the Win11 desktop. And there is no sign of the hub. I have to wait about 15-20 seconds and then the hub reappears again from nowhere. If i don’t wait for the hub and restart the computer, cubase complains about being unexpectly terminated at previous session.
I’m usually offline. I noticed when i’m connected to the internet (wifi), the hub works as expected. It’s immidiately there when closing the project.
1)Hi Martin, thanks for the reply. The strange thing is i only got one crash dump in that location. And thats from 04/11 a few days ago with the previous cubase14 version. And i just tried it again, closed the project (no hub in sight), restarted the computer and cubase complains about being terminated unexpectly at previous session. The solution is ofcourse to wait the 15-20 seconds for the hub, but i doesnt feel right because as soon as i turn on my wifi, the hub is there immediately when closing the project.
I’ve also had a window pop up sometimes when starting cubase15 where it says it was a problem with steinberg licence engine.exe it could not read something.
I’m also using divisimate 2 which has a online copy protection. It has the be online every few weeks to check the licence. But should run fine when offline.
I prefer to be offline, but suddenly got asked by win11 firewall if i should allow cubase15. I ofcourse allowed it.
Edit: Thinking out loud, maybe the hub is searching for the network to update news etc when closing the project. And win11 has a certain timeout. But it always worked with cubase14. Is really everybody online 24/7 nowdays when using the daw?
I tried turning of the web content in the hub. Unfortunately it still disappears.
And when launching Cubase15, i had again one of those “steinberg licence engine.exe application error”. The instruction at “……..” could not read at “………”.
“Steinberg licence engine”, does it have to do with the Steinberg activation manager? This doesnt happen every time. Just once in a while.
