It crashed for some unknown reason
Hi,
can you post the *dmp file so that we can have a look at it?
The location is displayed in your screenshot. Seems like you installed Cubase on another drive than your system drive C, right?
The error has to do with graphics, ie, display drivers, according to the error message, so not completely unknown.
I presume Cubase is installed on drive C as shown in the first file path in the error dialog, but the user folders have been set to drive D, which can be done via Windows configuration tools.
Indeed the .dmp file itself might have some useful info, so @FieryKola you should upload it. The file path of the dmp file is displayed in your crash dialog.
The documents’ folder can point to a different location than the program installation.
Somehow I missed the first line in the error message which clearly says Cubase is installed on drive C. However, even if I had not miss it - I didn’t know that the document folder can reside on a different drive. Thanks @st10ss, it’s always good to learn ![]()
Cubase 15.0.20 64bit2026.4.8 21.52.56.747.dmp (3.0 MB)
I don’t know how to read the dmp files
This isn’t an area I know about, but I can see from the crash log that there is a function onDriverFailure() at the top of the stack. That suggests it’s a driver issue, so try looking for an updated graphics driver.
