Cubase 15 does not save presets in plugins

Cubase is no longer saving presets. I uninstalled the program, deleted all the folders and installed it again and nothing worked. All Windows permissions are normal and I don’t understand why this problem. And this happens with all plugins, Native and from other companies. How to solve?

Just to clarify, you are referring to .vstprests?

Do the presets show up in Media Bay? If not, did you do a re-scan on the folders that you are confident .vstpresets exist?

All plugins appear in the Media Bay. I deleted the VST3 Presets folder to generate a new one after installation and nothing worked. Happens in VST3 and VST2 too. Save as default preset works, but the function (Save Preset) does not.

Ok, you did that.

Also, and I can’t explain why this should make a difference, uncheck the box next to the folder, that way it will be ignored. Then, re-check that same box. Do the .vstprests show up then? I do realize you deleted the entire VST3 presets folder in Media Bay to generate a new one.

I don’t see how this could make a difference, but do you get the same behavior when you start Cubase in Safe Mode without user preferences?

I’m out of ideas. But it may help to list your system specs, OS etc.

I think you are looking in the wrong spot. Save a preset with a unique name and search your system. It should be somewhere like

user/Documents/VST3 Presets/PluginX.
Go to mediabay an find that directory, make sure it’s checked, make sure ‘Include folders and subfolders’ option is checked. Then hit Rescan (right click on folder)
