Hi everyone. I recently updated to cubase 15. When I open Projects I created with older Cubase versions, Cubase 15 does not find some VST third party Plugins. But these plugis are actually installed, and the wierd thing is: I can even load them in my projects.
It means that I can load a new VST plugin in the insert effects into one slot, just next to the slot where it tells me that exactly this plugin could not be found.
which plugins display this kind of behaviour? It seems like the plugin ID has changed and that you are using a newer version of said plugin. Maybe it’s a VST3 version instead of a VST2 version that you used in older projects?
I think you are right. But some plugins could be aitomatically changed. Cubase telle me when starting a new project that some plugins have been not found but replaced by others. Some where not found an not replaced although there is a vst 3 version.
Do you know if there is a way to replace these plugins, too without loosing the settings, because they are many and each have individual settings…
Some plugs auto migrate vst2 to vst3, some don’t. In case you don’t realise you can still enable vst2 support in plugin manager…..did you do that??
