cubase 15 elements won’t run on this computer but 14 did ??? yes it is activated
It looks for a Microsoft Visual Basic file for AMD computers but this has an Intel XEON ?
This wasn’t a problem with cubase 14 elements . I can load the program into memory but it doesn’t run. If I try to reload , it will show several copies in TASK MANAGER

Do you get any message, when you start Cubase 15?
No message. It loads in memory but it looks like it is doing nothing.
What file name exactly? I’d be surprised to see any Visual Basic dependency there.
“amd64” is an architecture. It just means 64 bit Intel/AMD.

I’ve seen a couple variants of this issue in the forums here. Not sure of the cause yet, because usually folks do a ton of things to try to fix it.
But given that it doesn’t fully start up and show any UI, and you think it was a VB file, it may be the Visual C++ runtime. Some plugins incorrectly install this on the system and it does mess things up.
If you install the latest from here, and then reboot, you can see if that fixes it. It’s not something that hurts to install regardless as so many apps depend on it.

Looks like you didn’t get it to install rather than it won’t run….if that’s correct maybe try to download the installer and see if it will work when run locally.
Just select C15, ignore the recommendation to use download manager and scroll down for direct downloads

Your Windows 10 is not meeting the minimum system requirements for Cubase 15. Can you install the Windows 10 Version 22H2?

Ahh. A good detail to know.
If updating to that version of Windows 10 doesn’t fix it (I assume it will fix it), please run the VC runtime installer I linked to above. The error message you posted is for a missing VC runtime.

Unfortunately, I did a clean install of Windows 10 Version 22H2……and I can’t get it activated again.
Fortunately this is only ONE of THREE computers capable of running the software.
