Cubase 15 how to force real time when "render in place"

Can I render in place realtime without the need to use an external hardware?

Some plugin/synth is buggy and could only work when rendering in real time.

You can export the instrument track as audio with realtime option set.

Thank you very much. I’m aware of that too.

Maybe I’m misunderstanding what you’re after, but when I need to do that I just add an audio track and record the synth’s output to it.

I think the issue is that the current real time export requires to play through the entire project from start to finish. I’m assuming that you want to be able to render in place smaller selections in real time ? This would be a feature request because it’s currently unable to do that.

As @XLColdJ mentioned, you could record your external hardware directly into a audio track. This is pretty much the standard practice for external hardware. Is this not a sufficient work around for you ?

I would like to bounce some tracks with some of my plugins in real time. Those plugins performs differently between bouncing realtime and offline.

It would be nice if Steinberg can give users an option for real-time render in place without the need of an external hardware. All work-arounds require some kind of setup and thus kills the work flow.

Thank you for chiming in though.

Out of curiosity, which plugins are you talking about ? What’s the difference between bouncing them in real time or offline ?

Mostly an AI-based vocal generator. Offline bounce will cause some glitch and noise.

Dus you report that big to the plugin developper?

Also ther’s the option exporting mixdown to create a track or insert to pool
