how can I uninstall Halion 7.5 and get back to the Halion that came with Cubase15. I didn’t realise that to install 7.5 I required a license, I thought Halion required this update.

Note that the product that comes with Cubase is called Halion Sonic, as opposed to Halion
Hi Steve, my Halion is now at 7.5, I checked it at the Steinberg logo at the top of the Halion page then about ant it shows Halion is at 7.5, I want to uninstall and reinstall 7.1 I think it’s 7.1 from the Steinberg download assistant, in there it shows I have 7.5
Not sure precisely what you’re asking. In any case, Halion Sonic is at version 7.5, and I don’t know how to roll back. May I ask why you need to?
It seems you’ve installed the full Halion 7.5
The full Halion regardless of being Halion 7 or 7.5 requires a license (you have to pay)
The Halion that is included with Cubase is Halion sonic.
Uninstall Halion, you can do this in the windows app page.
Use the Steinberg download assistant and download the latest Halion sonic. I think it’s Halion sonic 7.5
Pro Tip - Don’t ever install something that is not part of your ‘Purchased Products’ unless you plan on buying a license for it.. Everything that comes with Cubase is right there under Cubase including both Halion Sonic and Groove Agent SE.
Only update what the Download Assistant tells you to update. If it doesn’t show up there, there either isnt an update, or you don’t own it.
The version of HALion that comes with Cubase 15 is the free version that is named “HALion Sonic 7” and it shows up as “HALion Sonic” in the Cubase VST Instruments list.

HI Steve I dumped Halion 7.5 From the Apps into the bin, reinstalled Halion, and the content It all looks Ok. I saw a You tube Video saying that Halion 7.5 now available it was to bring back 3 of the old VST;s it was a Dom Sigalas Video, I didn’t realise that my Halion 7 is still the original se version they have just dropped the SE from the label

The old classic VST collection is a separate download and is nothing to do with Halion.
This collection is free.
If I wanted these wherewould I het them I cant see them in the steinberg downloads manager
I have reinstalled Instrument and content all back as it was, If I wanted where would the 3 Retro VST’s be to download, I can’t see them in The download manager

The full version of HaLion is part of the Absolute collection. If you own Version 6, you can upgrade to Version 7 for €99.00. The difference between HaLion and HaLion Sonic is enormous. You can tell just by looking at the number of pages in each user manual. The German edition of HaLion Sonic has 199 pages, while the full version has 746.
