Cubase 15 Hub - Keyboard Issue

The hub in Cubase 14 and earlier was very useful to control with the keyboard. You could change tabs with the right/left arrow keys and change projects with the up/down keys. You never had to use the mouse because when the hub window was in front, the window automatically took the keyboard focus in the last selected section.

The new hub in Cubase 15 has added features that are very useful, but for me, who prefers to work with shortcuts, it is a step backwards.

The new hub in Cubase 15 takes the keyboard focus in the search field and there is no way to move this focus to the sections with the keyboard. You always have to use the mouse to select a project or a section.

So every time I open the hub in Cubase 15 I have to select the projects using the mouse. And every time I want to change sections I also have to use the mouse.

Would it be possible to improve this?

I suggest the following improvements when the HUB window is in the foreground:

1- pressing β€œTab” and β€œShift+Tab” switches the focus between the search field and then each of the sections, in a loop.

2- pressing β€œ<-” from a project changes the focus to the title of its section

3- pressing β€œ->” from a project changes the focus to the title of the next section

4- pressing β€œ<-” from a section title collapses the section

5- pressing β€œ->” from a section title expands the section

I admit I have never much used the keyboard in the hub, but this fits the pattern that Steinberg have continuously removed basic keyboard navigation (that users know from liek every other application and the web) support since C13…

Any feedback from Steinberg forum members?
