Cubase 15 – Klanghaus & Minimal Sessions won't preview or play (Pro Instruments Bundle 2)

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping someone has come across this before.

System

  • Windows 11
  • Cubase Pro 15 (latest)
  • Pro Instruments Bundle 2 activated via Steinberg Activation Manager

The issue only affects Klanghaus and Minimal Sessions. Every other Pro Instruments Bundle 2 library works normally.

What I’ve verified

  • Pro Instruments Bundle 2 licence is activated.
  • Both libraries are installed.
  • Both .vstsound files exist in:

C:\ProgramData\Steinberg\Content\WIN64

Both libraries are registered in Steinberg Library Manager.

Double-clicking either .vstsound file returns:

“No action was performed! The corresponding VST Sounds are already registered.”

  • MediaBay (F5) indexes both libraries correctly.
  • Searching for Klanghaus returns 294 loops.
  • Searching for Minimal Sessions returns 319 loops.

The problem

Although MediaBay can find the loops:

  • No preview waveform is generated.
  • Clicking Play in the MediaBay Previewer does nothing.
  • Double-clicking a loop does nothing.

Troubleshooting already completed

Question

Has anyone with Cubase 15 and Pro Instruments Bundle 2 confirmed that Klanghaus and Minimal Sessions preview and play correctly?

Or is this a known issue with these two legacy loop libraries?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Do not have this bundle. My first tought would be to right click on the Klanghaus folder and select re-scan or what it is called. It is quite some time since I used the media bay so do not remember the exact wording. There are 2 options, pick the quick one

as far as I can see the Pro Instruments Bundle 2 license doesn’t cover Klanghaus and Minimal Sessions. Did this work in the past for you? Do you have any other VST Sound Collection licenses?

SKnapp, you are correct & I don’t have a valid licence for any of those loopsets. I must have been trigger happy at sometime in the past and downloaded them.
