Cubase 15 not registering an input signal from either of two devices

I’ve been a Cubase user for about 25 years and have been using this particular install of Cubase 15.0.30 for several months. Inexplicably, my trusty Steinberg UR22mkII interface seemed to stop sending the input signal to Cubase (the LEDs confirm I was getting signal to the unit). Playback was never an issue, only signal to my DAW. Figuring it was my interface given it’s a few years old, I purchased a Focusrite Scarlett Solo 4th Gen.

I plugged my brand new Focusrite in this afternoon and have spent a few hours troubleshooting why it’s having the exact same problem. In the meantime I tried everything from switching between ASIO drivers, adding and eliminating input and output busses, turning Control Room on and off, and reinstalling Cubase. No matter what I do, I just can’t seem to get Cubase to receive and record anything.

I should add that my Mac registers input from the Focusrite under Sound Input in System Settings.

I’m on a Mac with 32Gb RAM running Tahoe. I’m grateful for any help you can offer.

Go to system settings, Privacy & Security, Microphone, acitvate microphone for Cubase 15.

It’s weird that it suddenly went off. Cubase has been working for me for years. I’ve never had this problem before.
