Given that Steinberg are now owned by Yamaha, surely it’s time that both companies worked closely together to make working with the Yamaha keyboards and Cubase seamlessly? As it stands you cannot record midi directly into cubase from either Genos 1 or Genos 2, save as a midi file, and then playback on the keyboard without a ton of issues.
There appears to be no export of sysex from the keyboards that Cubase can interpret and make use of.
Am I really expecting too much considering how expensive both Cubase Pro and the Genos 2 are to purchase.
Come on Steinberg and Yamaha - start talking together and support your customers more fully
