I was SO getting into a project all the stars were lining up the mix was going great it had a great vibe then BLAM!! Cubase froze. I knew EXACTLY what was about to happen and it did just that… vanished from my screen.
Its been a minute since this happened.
Still a bummer i must say because theres nothing worse than a good thing happening and then the plug being pulled.
It’s the exact same stack in the crash in both dmp files and identical to those from your thread from last year and before…
A quick search shows that this can be related to a number of reasons if you type in
‘ntdll!RtlpTpTimerCallback+79’
If I were you I would start to check for hardware issues and start with sfc /scannow.
BTW: Man, that sucks being in the middle of a flow and then this… time to sort it out!
Haha, maybe it’s time for the big transfer… It’s a LOT of work, I know. Loads of ways to take shortcuts and to save settings, you’ll find plenty of suggestions here in the forum. @ASM created a really useful script which I use on a weekly basis. It might also come in handy if you want to set up your new system
However, maybe you can also fix your old computer, maybe it’s just a rather simple hardware problem.
The next time i have a couple of days of work im gonna get stuck in and start transfering and installing stuff onto the new system. Ive put it off for far too long.
Maybe this is my chance to strip down all the plugins and libraries and just keep it simple…a fresh new start with a clean new palette…sounds fantatsic! obviously im gonna keep the expensive ones though haha.
