Cubase 15 Pro on Mac shows "overload" but no dropouts

I’ve tried everything so far, but to no avail. I have a beefy M3 Mac Studio running Cubase 15 Pro with an RME Fireface UFX III, and even with no other apps running and a very simple project (i.e. just one piano track) I get dropouts/overload. Buffer size doesn’t seem to matter – 64, 128, 256, etc. I don’t recall this being an issue with Cubase 14? I’ve tried disabling ASIO Guard, or changing its parameters, but it always seems to reset them.

The really odd bit is that I get the overload light, but it doesn’t show any dropouts in the performance monitor. I’m not sure if this is a MacOS (Ver 26) issue or something with Cubase 15. Any advice?

From what I’ve seen on this forum, the Tahoe 26.1 update is causing some performance issues.

Do you still have it installed on that machine? Can you see if it’s having the same issues?

If you are on Tahoe 26.1 it is probably a bug introduced by Apple.
