I’m experiencing a strange issue in Cubase 15 when working in 5.1 surround projects.
For some time now, whenever I reopen certain projects, some of my output bus routings have changed unexpectedly. Buses that were originally assigned to the correct hardware outputs are suddenly routed to different outputs. In some cases, surround panners are shifted completely to the left, and some sends are routed to seemingly random outputs.
The projects are saved correctly before closing, but the routing is different when reopening them.
I also have the impression that this issue has become more frequent since updating to the latest Cubase 15 version, although I can’t say with absolute certainty that the update is the cause.
Has anyone experienced similar behavior in Cubase 15? Is there a known bug related to surround routing, Control Room, audio interfaces, or output bus configurations? Are there any troubleshooting steps I should try?
