Cubase 15 ruler showing BPM not bars

I just noticed that one minute into my song I’m on “bar” 73 in a 73bpm song. Try as I might, I can’t get the ruler to show bars, only bpm. I’ve been using Cubase since Cubase 32 and have never experienced this. Has anyone else noticed this problem? Have you been able to correct it?

Hi,

Could you please attach a screenshot of the Project window?

Right click the ruler and change it to the measurement you want. You must of accidentally changed it.

Hi,

Even better is to change the Primary Time Display. The main ruler follows it.

It’s set to Bars+Beats and Bars+Beats Linear. See the attached images for the Bars+Beats ruler and Timecode track (showing 73 “bars” is at the 59.178 second mark on a 73 bpm song).

Hi,

How is the Time Offset set up in the Project Setup window?

Hoping the time signature isn’t 1/4. It isn’t, is it?

OMG! I have no idea how that happened because I didn’t (consciously, anyway) change the time signature. That’s exactly the problem and I’m embarrassed that never occurred to me.

Good catch!

I hesitated to mention it because it was too obvious.
But I’m sure we all have had our “DOH!” moments.
