Cubase 15 Snap issue(?) with event start in C15 Sample Editor

Pc Win 11 25h2 C15 15.06

I am having quite a few issues in the Sampler Editor, to which I am not accustomed. I have had crashes. I will post each issue seperately tagged.

I am having trouble snapping an event start to first bar in Cubase Sample Editor
When I grab the icon “event start” I cannot align it to grid. I can drag but not snap.

Repro:
New Project. Import a sample into the project
Click on the Sample to open the sample in the Sampler Window.
Ensure Snap is on and the grid is set to bar (in both the project window and the sample window)
If you drag the Event Start icon, it does not snap, meaning your timing can be out by a few tics - manually.

Surely this should snap?

Snap is on both in the project window and in the Audio Sample Editor.

Strange! It snaps perfectly here at my place.

Are you on pc or mac? I am pc

Win 11, cb 15.

I can confirm this does not work here but I have found a solution the short cut Ctrl L sets the selected Event Start to the position of your cursor, so if your cursor can be positioned at a barline, so can Event Start.

Z.

The snapping works normally. However, if the Event Snap Point isn’t at the start of the event, the event will not start on the grid after the event has been moved.

So, if you move the Event Snap Point, it will not snap to the grid. Even when snap is on - here.

Sorry, I’m moving the event, and the Snap Point snaps perfectly into place at every grid position. Beat or Bar or whatever is set as grid.

OK. So it is definitely different here. Thanks for your interest.
