Cubase 15 still kills some of my automations

I have the latest version.

I love the daw. The only thing I currently have to criticize is that Cubase kills some of my automations when I close a project and open it again. I then have to hit the read button every time I want to work on a project because the daw magically disables the automation as if I disabled read on them the last time.

It’s a major pain the butt.

This sounds like a Key Command unintentionally getting executed. Can you give us some more details. Does this happen on every project or only some? Every Track? Do you have any MIDI Remotes or legacy MIDI devices, virtual MIDI Ports, etc.?

To clarify your “as if”, when you Save the Project the Read Buttons on the Tracks are Enabled & then if you reopen the Project the Read Buttons are not Enabled - is that correct? What happens if you Save the Project and then use Revert?

I have a faderport 8 from presonus and a nektar lx25. Yes, the read buttons are not enabled when I open the project again later.

I can try the revert trick and I will keep an eye on this situation, but I know for sure this is not the first project this has happened to.

So, I noticed it happens on every project. Some automations just become “unread”

When I save and then revert to the previously saved version it also leaves the read button off.

Very irritating
