Cubase 15 unexpectedly deleting audio files from local samples folder

Cubase 15 is unexpectedly deleting audio files from my local samples folder when I drag them into Groove Agent. After loading the samples, if I perform a session cleanup and use “Empty Trash,” Cubase removes the original source files from disk.

The attached screenshot might help identify the cause. It’s particularly strange that the Groove Agent sample folder appears under a random audio track in the Audio Pool. This behavior never occurred in previous Cubase versions, so it seems to be a new issue in Cubase 15.

Any guidance on this would be appreciated, as the problem is quite serious. @Martin.Jirsak

So If I delete audio track “9 bass” from my project, and then put it in trash, and click “empty trash”, Cubase crashes, and also deletes the samples that I put into Groove Agent! It happens in many projects, and it crashes every single time

Upload the crash file please.

I’m experiencing the same issue. It also occurs in Cubase 14!
