From Cubendo Color Palette Editor (https://cubendo.poundsound.uk/). once I’ve exported a new defaults.xml file containing the colors I created in CCPE, I ovewrite the original defaults.xml in the Cubase 15 root folder.
Then in a new intance of Cubase I open the Project Colors Setup and click Reset Colors to Default.
But the new palette from CCPE doesn’t appear. The current colors remain the same.
Can anyone who uses Cubendo Color Palette editor give me some advice.
I cannot figure out what I’m doing wrong here.

thanks for posting this, glad to know that such an external color palette editor exists.
Wish there was something similar for the currently “blackboxed” (or rather “dumbed down”) GUI color scheme interface.
What Cubase is also missing is a user setup option where we’d still have full control over all the RGB values, plus the same save file logic as with the majority of other user presets (user presets which can be named freely and which are easily accessible via their respective file paths, so that they can be manually transferred to other machines, etc.)
Annotation, as to the GUI color schemes: luckily, it’s still possible to import a Cubase *.srf profile from an older version of the DAW to a newer one.

Markus, those are all ideas I’d like to see implemented as well. We can only hope, eh?
I spoke too soon on my problem above being fixed. Last night I started getting the error again: the colors created in Cubendo Colour Editor and saved to Cubase’s deault.xml file do not show up in Cubase.
If I delete the default.xml and let Cubase rebuild it from scratch, the color transfer works. But the I lose a lot of my preferences letting Cubase rebuild it.
So, I do 't know what to do. Maybe I’m still doing something wrong, but I’ll keep trying and see if I can find out what’s going on.
