Cubase won’t record any audio. I selected an vst instrument. The volumebars are moving, so its receives a signal but when i hit the record button and i start te play there is no recording. Who can help me?

I guess you have no physical keyboard and when you say start to play you mean on the vst itself….this is only for auditioning sounds, not for recording purposes.
There is the virtual keyboard you can select as input or you can draw notes into an editor.

With an instrument track, you can only record the incoming MIDI messages that comes to the VSTi used in it, not audio directly.
If you want to record the audio signal, you can either :
- use the Edit > Render In Place function, which will create an audio eventfrom the MIDI recorded in an offline way.
- create a stereo audio track, use the output of the instrument track as the value for its Input Routing parameter and record enable it, without forgetting to enable the Monitor button of the instrument track involved.
