Cubase 4 and Mac OS 10.10 (Yosemite)

I installed Cubase 4 onto a HD in my Mac with Mac OS 10.10 (Yosemite). No problem installing, but when I try to run it I get a License Control Error: “No valid license detected for Padshop” When I try to click on [Cancel] or [Retry], the Cubase program locks up and must be Force-Quit. I’m not finding anything definitive in this discussion group or anything on the internet (Google). Does this mean that Cubase 4 and Yosemite are incompatible? If so, what is the correct Cubase version to get if I use Yosemite but don’t like Mas OS El Capitan and my computer can’t run Mac OS Sierra?

Hi,

The latest officially supported Mac OS version for Cubase 4 was Mac OS X 10.5 see this page, please.

Might be, it’s not problem of Cubase, but of eLCC. You also have to have a compatible version, and I’m not sure, the compatible version can contain PadShop license. To be honest, I would say, Padshop wasn’t part of Cubase 4, so it asks for the PadShop Pro license, I would say.
