Cubase 5 A Serious error has occurred....

Hi to everyone. Today i’ve got message “A serious error has occurred…”. It is for the first time ever that i work in cubase 5 and that error occurred. I just tried to copy-paste one of my wave in channel. When i pressed COPY, the message was shown. I couldnt paste my wave. Only i can do is save my project as backup. Please, help. I dont know what to do. Tnx.

Aloha z, and welcome to the board. E’ Komo Mai’.

1-What gear are you using (hard and software)?

2-Try moving your ‘Preference Folder’ to another location
and restart Cubase.
Cubase will then make a ‘fresh/new’ Preference Folder’.

If the prob then goes away it probably means that
something got corrupted in that original folder.

If this is the case, post your results and we will try to figure
what file(s) is/are bad.

Good Luck!
