Cubase 5 Elements
M Audio Delta 2496
Ok I finally decided to get back into home recording so I loaded Cubase onto my Windows 10 machine with the 2496 soundcard installed. I have no issues playing and recording vsti’s, but when I was recording straight audio tracks Im encountering an odd issue.
I recorded a few test tracks to test levels then deleted them. I recorded my 1st guitar part and it played back fine. Recorded a 2nd guitar track and what was played instead was my old deleted test track but it was full of artifacts…WTF?
Eventually I got an error that my ASIO failed to open. Funny thing I can still play music just fine in Windows via the card.
Is it the card or Cubase?
