I want to put some effects on the microphone to sound like a speaking-tube.

He meant that Cubase 5 is a 9 year old version of Cubase, 9.5 is the current one.
The idea is to find a VST effect that does what you want, and add it as an insert effect to the vocal track in the mixer.
I’m not sure which VST would be suited for emulating a talkbox, if that’s what you’re looking for.
Yeah like a talkbox but not too robotic
