Cubase 5 : Midi channel randomly changes for mapped controller (Launch Control XL)

Hi dear friends of all places,

So i’m having this unual problem in cubase 5.1

I manually mapped all controls of the Launch control Xl to cubase 5, everything works fine, all knobs and faders turn, blabla…BUT, out of nowhere, everything stops working. I go back into “generic remote” do the learn process and see that all knobs from channel 8 for example have moved to channel 1…I put everything on channel 1…things work, and then, same dilemma, it goes to another channel.

Hope this is not some cubase bug I can’t fix.

Does it mean it was Channel 8 originally in Cubase Generic Remote Device, and it switched by itself to Channel 1 in Generic Remote?
