Cubase 5 - Unable to open [Mac OS X Lion]

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone can help me with this. I have just received a new Macbook Pro with Lion OS. I basically just installed Cubase 5 and VST Soundcollection Volume 1. However, whenever I try to open (I have updated to 5.5.3), it gives me an error says “You can’t open this application VSTBridgeApp because PowerPC applications are no longer supported”

I have looked up online and came across a few articles, but did not much help. What can I do to fix this problem?

Thanks in advance

S

What I found from Steinberg website:

Problem:
PowerPC plug-ins are missing and can not be loaded or found, affecting e.g. Monologue, Embracer and Tonic
Workaround:
None. Apple does not provide the Rosetta component anymore, required to run PowerPC code on Intel-based Macintosh computers.
Solution:
If you rely on specific PowerPC plug-ins, do not update to Mac OS X Lion (10.7) or consider using alternative plug-ins!

I didn’t have a choice as the OS came as it is. If getting rid of the plug-in is the only solution, how do I actually get rid of the plug-ins?
