Cubase 5 upgrade to cubase elements 8

Hello I’ve been using cubase 5 and I just purchased cubase element 8 what I wanted was to upgrade my cubase 5 to element 8 and when I download and installed elements 8 it installed it as a new software and what I wanted was to upgrade my cubase 5 Instead it installed it as a new program so now I have two separate cubase programs

How can I reinstall to upgrade my 5 to the elements 8 ? Please help

Im not shure, but if i remember right, its not possible to “downgrade” from Cubase 5 (Full) to an artist or elements version … but i can be wrong…

Oh so I basically messed up I thought I was upgrading not downgrading poop !!!

I wonder if there’s any way I could get credit for my purchase cause I have no use for the software if it’s a downgrade
