Cubase 6.06 x64 immediate crash on load

Hi folks,

Having an issue with C6 x64 since the update to 6.06 (uninstalling/reinstalling doesn’t seem to help). As soon as I instantiate the x64 version of C6 on Windows 7 64, it crashes, spitting out the following info:

The 32-bit version works just fine (after the daylight savings plugin scan!), but the 64-bit version doesn’t want to budge. It’s a really problem for me, as I use a fair number of sample instruments; having to us the 32-bit version isn’t ideal. Any ideas as to what the problem might be? Much appreciated.

Have you tried deleting the preferences and removing all third party plugins yet? If not, I would start there.

Thanks Jaslan – tried those, but it’s still crashing. It crashes practically instantly.

Still having this problem. Reinstalled redistributables, stripped back running apps, background processes, ditched unnecessary windows components, but all to no avail. I think I’m just going to reformat and reinstall, as I’ve no idea why this won’t work. Still, I’ll give it a few days, so if anyone’s got any other suggestions, please fire away.

What are your computer specs? Have you tried removing all third party stuff?
