CUBASE 6 MAC - can't find ne VST plugs

I just installed the free REPLIKA plug in from NI.

ON my MBP

I am pretty familiar with how file structures work on PC but I am not sure where stuff automatically goes when installed on Mac.

I assume that .vst is the Mac equivalent of PC .dll? is that right?

So I went through the whole NI install of REPLIKA and when I use finder I see Replika.vst in library/audio/plugins /vst

but when I launch cubase and then open the plug in dialogue box and get it to update not only does it not find REPLIKa but it also removes my permission to use the amp sims that came with my Steinberg UR 28m (eliscencer) problem.
