Cubase 7.02 update installation failed -- Solved

Hello,

When I try to install the C7 7.02 update the installation fails and I get the following error:

“Cubase 7.02 64bit Update installation failed. The installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access it. Error Code: 1612”

Any suggestions?

silly question but i take it you have c7 installed ?
have you trying installing the c7 core installer on the download page ?

Thanks for replying. Yes, I do have C7 installed, and I tried reinstalling from the dvd. After trying a few things I am just realizing that I probably have a major registry corruption problem and will likely have to reinstall Windows. Kind of a bummer but my stuff is pretty well organized so I’ll live! :confused:
