CUBASE 7.5 AMD or INTEL!? How many cores in use?

I bought CUBASE 7.5 :smiley: and I have a question:
How many cores are used CUBASE 7.5?
If someone is using - I would be grateful for your help.
Already bought but the package is on the way

I would like to change the interior of my PC.

Money are enough to:
INTEL I3 or AMD FX-6300 BE 6x3,5?

But if C7.5 use only two cores I3 will be enough!

I’ve mainboard with SATAIII, SSD SATA3 and 16gb ram :wink: (WIN7 64bit)

Cubase will use all cores, but it’s not as simple as that. In some cases, speed (mostly of floating-point) of less cores will trump more, but slower cores.

You can start your long, confusing quest for “knowledge” here. :smiley:

Also, floating-point is important. The new Haswell i5 is perhaps the best bargain, in that area. I’d recommend it over the i3.

I use AMD since their instruction sets are almost always ahead of Intel (speed is not king for DAW’s).
