Cubase 7.5 crashes on opening file with unmapped ports

I am locked out of my current project all of a sudden. Cubase 7.5.4 crashed and when I re-open the project it says Impulse 3 Unmapped ports and freezes. I have to force quit and do not have a backup of this project.
