Cubase 7 Elements Hangs on Coremdi

Hi-

I’m running Cubase Elements 7.0.6 on a Mac Running OSX 10.7.4. I’m using an Mbox2 as my audio and midi interface.

When I open Cubase it hangs on loading CoreMidi. After about 5 minutes Cubase will open but it will inform me that it couldn’t connect to CoreMidi and that I should restart. Same result upon restart.

Anyone have any idea what could be causing the problem here??

Additionally, if I open Pro Tools on the same computer first then load Cubase, there is no problem on startup…

Aloha u,

Even tho I am using C7 and not Elements,
I have had this happen once on my laptop that uses 10.7.5.

Don’t know if this will work for you but
in my case repairing ‘Permissions’ helped solve the prob.
