Cubase 7 install failure on Mac

Just received Cubase 7 box. Went through install with discs. Install windows indicated successful install. Registered cubase and trial software with elicence dongle. Tried then to open Cubase and found not one “bit” of cubase or steinberg data on my HARDRIVE? None!

Repeated the entire process ( about an hour each time) with sadly the same results. In 10 years of computing on Macs Ive never seen anything like it! I just decided to switch to Cubase after years with Logic and this is an awful welcome! I wrote to support and await some word on this bizarre behavior.

Any thoughts most welcome. Hopefully my new relationship ( or lack thereof )with Steinberg/Cubase improves quickly.

My great-grandfather named all his golden retrievers Lucky.

Aloha L,

Sounds like it might be a faulty set of discs.

(I never would have thought that the download option
might be a safer way to go).

Let’s hope they can help you in a ‘timely fashion’.

Like maybe a temp ‘download code’ till you get
a new boxed C7.

Good luck!

Downloading was successful in the end. Ironically though I had managed to authorize the faulty installs and when the successful download prompted for authorization my code had already been used. Has your experience with Steinberg support been positive generally speaking?

Thanks much
