Hi all,
I need some help with my situation:
I have been running Cubase 7 (and 7.5) since it was released as a 32bit application.
Two weeks ago my hard drive crashed and I replaced it with a new drive, with a fresh install of Windows 7 Home Premium.
I reinstalled Cubase 7.5 as a 64bit application hoping to get better performance. However, the opposite happened, and I see a drain of resources on projects which have barely any VST instruments and/or plugins. For me, the 32bit Cubase worked better than the 64bit, even though I have 8GB RAM installed.
Do I need to update some parameter in either Cubase or Windows in order to enjoy the full effect of all the available RAM? This is very frustrating - what should I do??
Thanks!
I’m running the following system:
Core i7 3.40GHz, 8GB RAM
Windows 7 SP1 Home Premium
Cubase 7.5.30
Komplete 9 Ultimate
M-Audio Delta 2496 sound card
