New version still unexpectedly quits when the app loses focus between opening projects.
Do you have clear repro? Could you specify your system, please?
Sure, it’s a:
Mac Mini (late 2014)
2.6 Ghz Intel I5
OSX El Capitan 10.11.2
Cubase Artist 8.0.35
It unexpectedly quits when I switch to the Numbers spreadsheet I’m tracking my projects on, switch back to Cubase, and open a new project. I’ve just ran the LCC and it’s updated a few things, so that might have solved it, I’ll see.
is it always reproducible?
It’s been fairly consistent - normally on the second or third project I work on. There are a couple of not officially supported NI plugs (Battery 3 and Kontakt Player 2) that I need to remove and then run through a few cycles of working on different projects to see if that sorts it, it might take me a couple of days to properly test it.
I have just updated my Cubase to 8.0.35
I have never been able to get past the splash screen since downloading the original version, it as it always crashes on launch
Always assumed it was Mac 10.11 incompatible, but this latest update doesn’t fix it…help

I’m sorry, this part of the crash log doesn’t help. There is not even Cubase or any plug-in displayed.
Please, make sure, your plug-is are up-to-date.
I have now tracked down the problem to a dodgy plugin, once deleted all is running fine now.
Good to know, Thank you for the information. It would be great to contact the plug-in developer and inform him, if possible.
Sorry about the delay in getting back to you - after updating to the latest version of Waves, updating the LCC and removing some VST2 plugs improved things marginally - I’ve now bought a copy of Office 365 and tracking the projects in that instead of Numbers which seems to have improved things considerably, it still crashes occasionally but so far, touch wood, it’s a lot more stable, it’s odd that it seems like Apple’s spreadsheet app was the main problem, which was kind of what I suspected.
