Cubase 8.5.15 crash regularly - Task manager processes

Hi there,
Cubase 8.5.15 crash regularly with different projects.

In the Windows Task Manager, I end the task, but the process’s tab show that Cubase occupy a certain amount of memory. When I try to end process tree, nothing happens. So I shut down the computer and restart.

I made a test (same conditions) but instead of shutting down the computer I waited… about 8-10 minutes, and the process disappear. It’s a long time in nanoseconds

Did you ever encounter that problem ?

Hi,

Have you found any clear reproduction of the crash?

Make sure, your plug-ins are up-to-date, please.

I have the intuition that plugins Trilian (64 bit) or B4 (32 bit) from NI are involved.

i doubt its native instrument stuff there pretty stable. most likely ur using plugins from small developers and have bugs. Cubase runs slow for me when I have things like ohmicide, fabfilter, sugarbytes stuff running

Hi,

NI plug-ins are pretty stable. But this is an old no more supported plug-in. Maybe it runs on a non-supported system here (Win 10?), and in any case, it is bridged from the 32-bit to the 64-bit DAW.

I run NI B4 quite successfully via jBridge, if you really need B4 you might want to go that route?
