Cubase 8.5 user switching from older pc tower to older Macbook pro(2012)

Hi all. I am an Cubase 8.5 user looking to switch from my older pc tower to an older Macbook pro (2012). Just wondering if any may have any ideas on how to go about it. Are there any tutorials on how to go about it? And how to move my projects, vst plugins and drum packages to a Mac format. I’m not a hardcore user but know my basics within Cubase. I mainly record audio tracks. Any help from the community would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Matt

Hi,

To transfer your custom preferences, export/import the Profile from the Profile Manager (I hope this feature was in Cubase 8.5 already).

To install Cubase and plug-ins, you just have to install and activate (or reactivate) them from scratch. You don’t have to activate Cubase. The licence sits on the USB-eLicenser. Just install eLCC application and plug the USB-eLicenser in.

The best way to transfer the projects is just to copy the whole Cubase Projects folder over to Mac.

Hi Martin,

Thank you very much for your help with this. I hope it is a painless process. Lol

Cheers,
Matt
