Cubase 8 Artist quit unexpectedly, Sierra

Hi all!

I just updated to sierra, apparently it wasn’t the right thing to do. Now my Cubase crashes before even opening.

Tried safe mode, nothing.

I’ll upload the bug report which shows a crash at thread 0 (I don’t know what that means), please help!

Cubase Artist 8.0 is not officially supported for 10.12, but if you were going to try it there, I would suggest updating the last version 8.0.40 from Cubase 8 Updates and Downloads | Steinberg

That said, I would say the best option for use on 10.12 would be to upgrade to Cubase 9. I hope this information is helpful.

Is this something you get out of the crash report or is that not useful at all?

I think I’ll upgrade to cubase 9, the funny thing is that my payment kept on getting denied (?!).

From the Crash Report I could see you were on 8.0.0, so that did help.

If you are having trouble with the payment please be sure to check with your bank that they allow international transactions and if you still have trouble please contact your local support.
